Welcome, and thank you for considering working with me as you take care of your mental health. I’m Jennifer Schofield, a dedicated psychotherapist with over 22 years of experience in helping individuals, like you, navigate life’s challenges and achieve lasting emotional well-being.
 
I understand that life can feel overwhelming at times. Whether you’re managing stress, working through anxiety or past trauma, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, therapy can be a powerful tool for creating meaningful change. My approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and a deep commitment to your growth. I believe that every individual has the capacity to heal and move forward, and my role is to support you in discovering and realizing your potential.
 
My prior experience included clinical roles in Employee Assistance Programs, working with crisis, trauma, and in-person counselling for a wide range of mental health issues. I also provided psychotherapy as a clinical social worker in hospital outpatient mental health and geriatric psychiatry. I also provide on-site critical incident support to organizations in southern Ontario.

My therapy style is integrative and client-centered, meaning I tailor each session to meet your specific needs and goals.
 
Drawing from a variety of evidence-based approaches—including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and trauma-informed care—we work together to find the most effective tools to manage and resolve the challenges you’re facing.
 
Whether you’re seeking short-term support for a specific issue or longer-term therapy for deeper, lasting change, I create a space where you can feel safe to explore, heal, and grow at your own pace.
